This photo is of my Mom and I when we lived in England and it was taken on a beach outing. I see photo bombing happened even in those days judging by the 2 in the background. I was very undecided on my background paper as I wanted the big flowers but also wanted lines . So I bravely (for me ) fussy cut the roses from the Prima paper and added them to the pink paislee paper.
There is also a broad strip of netlike lace across the bottom which does not show well in the pics but looks lovely as do the little black roses which are not very clear.
Love the photo , love the way the layout turned out and am even happy with my photos - hence I am showing quite a few of them.
Isnt it great when you are happy with a layout!?
Let me know what you think.
Close up so that you can see the lace at the bottom. |
The little black rose is just a blob ! |

ReplyDeleteYup! It's a fabbo feeling when a page 'works'!!!! LOOOVE the touches of black. - reminds me of velvet...& that lace is a wonderful idea & the fussy cut flowers.... Perfection..,.my fave bit is the 'word plate' -- how cute!!!! Lovely, lovely page:):)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous page Wendy! You did a great job with the fussy cutting and the clustering is very pretty! The photo is fabulous too. It's always nice when one can proudly display a page that you are really happy with...there's always a sense of achievement in that and guaranteed that others will love it too! xx
