A dogs tale

When I first saw the challenge at Berry71bleu,-Favourite Movie/ TV show- I thought hmmmmmmmmmmmmm,  not for me this time, as I couldn't seem to match a layout to some of my favourite movies. I love the Little Womens , the Pride and Prejudice and a whole lot of thriller types too like the Silence of the Lambs and The Shining. However they did not inspire me to get crafting !
Until i remembered a movie I really enjoyed even though I cried (a bit of an understatement ) in it and that was Hachi , a dogs tale . If you have not seen it, it is  a must see. One of those family movies that have a bit of everything in it.The dog, Hachiko is amazing and the movie is based on  a true story .
And so I was motivated to do a layout of my 'little" Nugget who was really a gentle and loving dog .

As well as Berry71bleu I am also entering in the scrap your stash challenge at Scrap Africa. I used a whole lot of old paper pieces and dusted off my dies which have not been uses in a while and cut stars, circles , scalloped circles as well as banners and triangles.
In fact I had lots of fun with this layout and I rather like it myself!

  1. Ah Wendy this is lovely and perfect for the challenge. I have seen that movie a couple of times and I have cried like a baby through it and I still love it. Your take on the challenge for both is perfect. Love the washi tapes and the papers. Lovely photos too. He is a really really big dog :D

  6. My 9-year old daughter watched this movie at school last week and the entire class was in tears. She was so touched by this movie that she was emotional for the rest of the day.
Beautiful layout. I love the way you used all your bits of scraps. Thank you for playing at Scrap Africa.

  7. I watched this movie for the first time about 1 year ago & it was non-stop tears. I have my own little pup whom I love to bits--so it tugged at the heart strings for me in a big way. I found this movie to be so tender, heartfelt & a wonderful example of the unconditional love our pets gives us. Excellent take on the challenge & thank you for sharing your talent with us at Berry71Bleu...

I am afraid I cannot watch any film with an animal in it if I know they are going to get hurt in any way my heart swells up so much and I just cry and cry
