Something New

 Well it is ages since I last posted on my blog , but all has not been quiet in the craft room . I have made one or two layouts but they have not suited any of the challenges at the time. I need to get used to working from sketches as I find most of the challenges are colour based or sketch based.
The August challenge over at Archi-Scraps offered a lovely picture and asked for the added criteria  of flowers.
The photo gives off a purpley hue and I have used this as inspiration for my layout and have also chosen a photo with a building in the background to add that brick type feel - and then of course added flowers.
The challenge over at Berry71bleu asks for textile and I have  ribbon, felt  and lace on this layout .

 I hope you like my creation which features  my sister Dawn and her partner Karen at their their partnership ceremony  , with niece Lise joining them for the special day.

    Great taste in blog backgrounds Wendy. It's the same as mine!
    I love your page. I always like to see more than one photo and all of your accents are really pretty. In particular, the lace and flourishes. Thanks for playing at Archi-scraps and good luck. I hope you join in again. I'd love to see more from you.
