Criss Cross

Hi there all, hope you have all had a relaxing weekend and are enjoying your evening.
We had a lovely warm winters day , with breakfast at a tearoom overlooking the sea .
After that a bit of grocery shopping and then home to make a card.

I heard something really strange today ( or rather hubby did) our house is at the top of a hill and we overlook a valley of trees. We have lots of birdlife especially hornbills, we have dassies that visit (not sure what they are called overseas but google refers to them as a rock rabbit) and we also have monkeys that although cute to look, at are thieves of note.

However although we have bush in front of us we are living in a built up area.
Our neighbour is missing his Persian cat and tells us that he has lost 2 cats prior to this to the Martial eagles . I started to say no ways to Dave ... but our neighbour actually witnessed one of these horrific incidents.

Sometimes nature is so strange!

Well onto something a little more pleasant namely my card .
I am not usually adventurous when it comes to card making but decided to join in with the Just Magnolia Criss Cross card challenge . The video tutorial is so well explained -thank you Jeanette I will definitely look at more of your Tutorials.
The DT cards are amazing , so full of colour and embellishments , and looking at mine now .....it is rather basic ,but hey it's a start .

It also qualifies for the C.R.A.F.T challenge for purple and green and gems as well as  the Prairie Fairy Anything Goes Challenge and lastly the challenge over at PaperPlay for a childs card , if this meets the high criteria set by my Mam for her grandaughter Meghanne in Australia.
So here is the card give me your verdict please

I was very interested in your nature stories...cant believe you have monkeys close by...and the poor cats! I would be devastated if that happened to my little cat...Anyways...Thanks for joining in with PaperPlay Challenges this week and good luck!

  17. I think I recognise those butterflies... I really love finding new things for you and then seeing them in the way that you have used them, sometimes very different to the way I imagined.
