just magnolia

I hope there are some challenges this week for new techniques because thats what this card is all about.
I received my Copics this week ( at last I am with the program) and have been reading tutorials and coloring like crazy. Some with success others disaster. This one was a disaster that was nipped in the bud! For some reason when I use the colourless blender it seems to make the colour bleed out of the lines.... any advice welcome here. Thats what happened here sooooo I cut out the image and my cutting skills are severely challenged but I think I have saved the image?
Also used some freebies here- ribbon and image from Sharon
- pearls from Paola , an SA blogger who also owns the shop where i bought my Copics and who kindly softened my purchase by throwing in free ribbon, gems , images and a super card! Thanks
Have a look at both their blogs ... great cards on show.

Advice would be appreciated at this stage in the Copic ballgame.

I am entering the card in the Just Magnolia Challenge which was to follow a sketch and also in the Papertake Weekly challenge which asks for "checks" or gingham.
.Have a great day!

  2. I think you have coloured the image really well. Your card is lovely. You could also enter it into the Papertake weekly challenge - which asks for checks or gingham on your card.

  6. Hi Wendy, I'm no copics expert by any means, but I saw on a blog somewhere, the lady uses the chisel end of the blender. She pushes the colour back into/onto the image. If I can find the link I will let you know. Cheers, Deb from Down Under

  8. Hi Wendy, pleased to see that you are using your copics, the reason that your color may be bleeding is the paper you have your image stamped on. If its one that i sent you, which i am hoping it isnt, that may be a reason. As a previous commenter said you can rmove the bleed with your colorless blender however you will not be able to force the color back onto the image only remove the colr where it has bled. Please be in touch if you need any assistance. I am busy taking the copic certified course so lets see what i can learn.
